Recap of the last few days in In the Kingdom of Suzu

Wednesday– happy hour with 3 former co-workers and one co-worker who is retiring the beginning of the year, then they will all be former co-workers!

Thursday—went straight from work to my son’s house, the k-man—as he and his wife spent the day in philly and were going to a jimmy buffet concert. I was supposed to sleep over but they came home earlier so I went home. Scared Jeff as he wasn’t expecting me and was already asleep–opps!

Friday—again straight from work to the k-man’s house as he never mrs k-man went to NY city to see a play and stay over. The munchkins and I partied! We had pizza, popcorn, candy and movies and shows to watch!

Saturday—munchkins and I picked up bunny pops—the name they gave to jeff cuz Mr n saw a video of Jeff performing and said he hopped around like a bunny, hence bunny pops was born! Went to Perkins for breakfast and scored free muffins because they seated us promptly it then we waited and waited and waited for someone to come and see if we wanted even coffee or drinks. I finally went to the hostess who was quite apologetic, said it would be taken care of, then the manager came and said he would come us the muffins. It we still waited another five minutes! Not quite sure why there was a snafu as it wasn’t super crowded but whatever.

Saturday night Jeff played out and I went. Good show but a late night.

Sunday—packing and cleaning for the NC trip plus there was a surprise anniversary party for the k-man and wife–10 years!

Monday—left at 5:30 a.m. and arrived MIL’s house at 2 p.m. My SIL had gotten eclipse glasses so we were able to watch the eclipse–pretty neat altho I wasn’t going to let Jeff use them cuz he kept mocking the whole thing as he had seen a partial back in I don’t remember when and he was like “what’s the big deal”. I did let him have a turn with the glasses tho.
