Another pollie rant in Political shit

Not much point reading this, it’s just me ranting about how fucking useless our federal government is.
Like, it’s actually hilarious at how bad it is, and that something as simple as this seems to be tearing apart the LNP HA!

But in reality, I’m actually depressed right now at the LNP result in the party room, although I shouldn’t really be surprised after so many years. I’m depressed again for my LGBT friends who want to get married. My friend and ex-workmate is overseas at the moment and his boyfriend asked him to marry him in from of the Eiffel Tower. They’ve been dating for man years now, so it’s bloody cute.
But then this bullshit is still happening here back home.

From what I can gather, the result was that they are pushing for a plebiscite on marriage equality, yet again - you know, something that’s already happened and been defeated once before, so they’re buying time, keeping their comfy 6-figure jobs, not doing the job they’re elected to do. They’re sticking with party-policy, or rather, Abbott policy. You know, that rash ex-PM that won’t ever go away.
It’s absolutely disgusting. I can be happy in the fact that I never voted for them in the first place, but unfortunately the majority did.
If the plebiscite gets defeated in the senate (again, which it probably will), they’ll try for a postal plebiscite, which you know, is illegal without creating new legislation, so that’s more time-wasting dealing with that. And the postal plebiscite is non-compulsory, and neither plebiscite is binding.
And if both are defeated, or if the plebiscite results show that Australians want marriage equality (uh, duh), then and only then, will they MAYBE consider a free-vote in the parliament.
So we’re back to where we started, with a $160 Million plebiscite and the joke continues.
These games are suuuuuch a fucking joke. Beyond a joke. How old are these pollies? Fuck me! Actually no, don’t fuck me, they are all gross.

How the fuck does this affect them? They aren’t stupid. I feel like we need a revolt lol. I’m pretty pissed off.
I’ve been acting out as a keyboard warrior on Twitter a lot today, a platform I barely ever use. I got a few likes to my ‘Senators, get your red pen’s ready!” tweet. Except this time, we’re down two Greens senators, due to the whole citizenship rules thing. More waiting and seeing what happens. Hopefully we’ll overthrow yet another PM.
