Our house always has vases of cut flowers all year round. They bring light, hope and beauty into each of our days. Even with her dementia progressing, Mom loves flowers more than almost anything. We also have sunflowers, orchids, African violets, and camellias, gardenias and azaleas during their seasons.

What would we do without these glorious reminders of the miracle of creation? How can you look at a flower and not thank God for filling the world with so many endless varieties of colors, shapes and forms, growing, blooming, dying and making room for other flowers.

I will always photograph them. They are among my grandest passions. They are infinitely wondrous to behold.
