This is how this works . Some stuff is redacted, but you will get the overall gist on haw this all
operates. Linking takes time, and unlinking as well. The terminal would get frustrated, because of the time it took. 30 minutes, when they broke it off in their ass, is a long time. We were called to operate a grain train, and link up DP.. LOL We also had an add on at the House. The inbound crew wasn’t aware, so when we coupled in we were in the circuit, but not fouling the mainline. Amtrak is in the picture they are going nuts. “You need to link and get out of here, due to AMTRAK”. “I can’t touch anything till this cycles through”.. “You need to move”.. Okay here is your options, 1) cut away and head in the clear somewhere. 2) allow this to qualify and link up perform the required tests. 3) The simple option, help flag AMTRAK, we are in the foul of the circuit in Coal 2, by 2 units, but we clear the mainline, and all switches associated. We talked to the Yardmaster,(Worthless)and the Train DS. Also to AMTRAK. We took all switches on Hand and lined AMTRAK through the designated route. We restored all switches into power, and lined our route out of Coal 2, DS notified. We’re linked, all air tests made, we leave town. I hated how the BN/BNSF operated out of Denver. Was the Santa Fe perfect, LOL They had their faults as well. The railroad is not a well oiled machine. A puzzle of never ending Paradoxes, but fun when you can solve ‘em .
