Home sweet home in Stuff

I’m back in Brisbane! Home sweet home. It’s always nice to come home after an extended trip away. I’m thankful for my comfy bed again. The bed at Ryan’s place is for people with back’s of steel, I swear to God. Ryan reckons that when his grandmother stayed over, she thought the bed was extremely comfortable, and he knows what she meant because when he stayed in Beijing, he reckons he couldn’t move the next morning because the bed was like a concrete slab. So I guess I should be thankful for the bed being what it was.

But the trip always goes so fast, even if it was for 5 whole nights. I was thankful for the getaway, and I’m thankful to be home. I didn’t do all that much other than the Saturday night awkwardness in the previous entry. Just went for a couple of walks, watched a heck of a lot of Netflix. Ryan kindly gave me his password because he had one device left, so I am able to watch it at home now, so long as he keeps his account. I hear the fees are going up on July 1st, so who knows. Very nice of him.

I caught up with my friend Rick this afternoon before heading to the airport to go home. Always lovely to see him. He took me to a place called ‘Alexandria Grounds’ which is a bunch of cafes and nursery’s. It had started to rain but it was still very packed for a Wednesday afternoon. They even have animals there, with a gigantic pig named ‘Kevin Bacon’ lol.

Back to the funhouse (work) tomorrow.
