I haven’t posted about this yet because of my current health situation (if you’ve read my 1st entry on here entitled “The Absenteeism of Me & Regularity” I think you’ll understand).
WARNING: Photo heavy and what you are about to see is horror related. It is 100% fake (sfx - special effects). None of this is real, just made to look real.
Because of my poor health at the moment and the fact that I have had to liquidate my life, I literally sold off just about everything I have to pay Dr’s, meds, treatments etc… (which none have been effective) I was forced to close my website. www.corpsenation.com
One of a kind, hand made.... Rotting Skulls, Bones, & Skeletons. We have been featured in shows on the Discovery Channel, in award winning short films for sfx, professional haunted houses and theatrical horror productions. Most of our customers however are people who just like collecting unique horror props, even store owners who decorate for Halloween to use as conversation pieces with their customers and since that’s who we are simply fans of the horror genre, we think that’s awesome!
Here’s a couple of pictures showing a pool store owner proudly displaying their Corpse Nation pieces.
Video’s are available in 1080 HD, be sure to change the default quality for the best picture.
I am still planning on continuing, because I do get people emailing me asking for orders or if I can do this or that. I won’t turn anyone away and if I have to hire someone to do some of the workload, I will. Our busiest time of year begins in early August through late September for the Halloween season. That said, let me tell you a bit about my business. Taken from the website “About Us & FAQ” pages.
CORPSE NATION is a Florida based company that specializes in creating custom made “realistic” corpses, as well as corpsed bones, and the like.
So here’s some info you may want to know…
What is it about Corpses and zombies??? Why do we do it?
Simply put, we love it! Horror movies, being scared, being creative, we, as people should never let that little kid in all of us ever die, life is too short to stop being a kid entirely, and if you do, bring him / her back to life!
Long story short: Our goal is to create the most realistic horror props in the country which are both affordable and available for rent and/or purchase by the everyday consumer, not just film professionals. To create specialized and unique pieces for anyone that loves horror movies and Halloween as much as we do.

When you display a prop (skull, corpse etc…) created by Corpse Nation, the first reaction you’ll get is: “Is that real?” And that’s why we love doing what we do.
CORPSE NATION is owned by two brothers with deep roots in the horror genre. Both of us have over 2 decades of experience in the entertainment industry having worked in Films, TV Shows, Commercials and so forth.
I did this undead riverboat gambler makeup on my brother one Halloween. He went to work like this all day!
One is an entrepreneur, with degrees in Business and Psychology, while the other is a published author and photographer with a degree in Film and Television Production. Together, we have found a way to bring the dead back to life, well… sort of.
From writing scripts to applying special effects make-up: from directing and producing commercials, PSA’s and Feature Films; both of us have harnessed our energies in creating a one of kind custom corpse for a Halloween haunted house which received an unprecedented amount of positive attention in 2010! (At first we went to the party stores and Halloween shops, but neither of us could get past the ‘cheese factor’. Nothing was scary, gory or intended for adults. “Hey! We loved Halloween as kids and we still love it now!” but where are the cool looking corpses etc… instead of these cheap plastic ones with red light up eyes.. ugh… Alas, there was nothing for us, so, we created our own.)
This led to the brainchild that is now CORPSE NATION.
Corpse Nation was featured in a horror art show in South Florida.
Whether you’re a fireman or policeman needing victims for your next training video, in need of props for your new film, haunted house or if you’re anything like us and simply love Zombies, then look no further! Hey, rotting severed heads are the new “Pet Rock”!
We were on the radio and the band Shadow Reborn came on after me. Here we posed with some pieces I brought to the studio.
The dragon skull is ever popular!
Everything created by Corpse Nation are “one of’s“. In other words, each piece is custom made by hand via the meticulous process known as “Corpsing”.
Corpsing, is the adding of flesh to a skeleton or raw bone. There are many ways to go about this, but we have our own method. Like snowflakes, no two are the same. We take tremendous pride in our work and use no shortcuts during the process. Additionally, our pieces are water resistant (to a point), so they’ll be just fine if they get caught out in a rain shower or two, although a severe storm, a lot of rain/snow etc… (including excessive handling) can damage each piece, so do take care of them. They are best suited to those who treat them as pieces of art.

No actual corpses were reanimated during or after the corpsing process…
… that we know of.

FAQ
Q. Are the pieces you do non toxic?
A. Although our custom made pieces are made of many various chemicals and products. They are perfectly safe to have in and around the home, however we urge you not to put anything in your mouth (or other orifice for that matter). Our products are for display ONLY.
Q. Do you use real bones?
A. We can, but those would be custom orders, and you would have to contact us directly. The products we use vary by budget, but could either include plastics or bone resin, and you can stop right now if you’re about to ask us to corpse a real human being. We abide by the law, and although the concept of corpsing grandma does make us go “Hmmm…” It’s just not gonna happen. “Real” equates to bone resin products.
Q. How delicate are they?
A. Certain pieces are more delicate than others; however we recommend that you treat them as pieces of art. Yes, they are weather proof to an extent, but if you leave a skull on your dashboard in the sun, over time it will deteriorate. If they get wet, they’ll be fine, but prolonged exposure will result in a touch up. Additionally, we recommend handling any piece with care. The more abuse they are put through, the more likely they will require touch ups. Corpse Nation does not assume those costs, however we will provide that information for you upon request.
Q. Can I dress them up?
A. Of course! Though Corpse Nation does not take responsibility for any torn or stained clothing or wear of the piece due to materials put on them.
Q. What if my pet gets a hold of one?
A. We don’t put squeakers inside the bones for a reason; hopefully Rex will not get a hold of any piece that we create. As stated above, if we don’t want you to put anything in your mouth that goes the same for any pet that you might have. Dogs, cats etc… can be around them, they can rub up against them, just don’t let them lick or ingest them. That’s the job of the zombie! (Additionally, the bones do not smell like something a pet would want, so it likely won’t be an issue).
Q. How do you come up with your prices?
A. We are firm believers in quality over quantity. The products we order are quality pieces, not junk, not something that will collapse under the weight of the added flesh or look as if it were made on an assembly line. We order very specific pieces that can handle our corpsing process. Additionally, we take our time and create each piece as if we were creating it for ourselves. The goal is to create something that you can’t buy at the local party store; something realistic and unique. Our pricing is a culmination of the quality pieces we order, the hands on (no machine) process of corpsing, corpsing materials and labor.
Q. How long does it take to make one piece?
A. Each piece takes approximately 3 weeks to create from start to finish. A full corpse will be a month in production so order well before you plan to use the piece. Does not include shipping times where applicable, but why wait? If you want a piece that we have in our inventory, you can get what you want immediately! Contact us for more info and please specify what it is that you’re interested in.
Q. Why does it take so long to create?
A. Each individual piece consists of many layers which need to dry before applying the next layer. To save time we are capable of working on multiple pieces at once. In order to create the best possible product for our customers we make sure that every stage of creation is complete before we continue.
Q. Are there any moving parts or lights?
A. No. Our goal is to recreate something authentic. It’s up to you if you decide to put lights into whatever piece you order, if that’s your wish. Once the product is in your hands you may do whatever you like, but here at Corpse Nation we do not use animatronics or lights of any kind.
Q. Do you only accept Paypal?
A. We accept Paypal, checks, money orders AND credit cards. (Note: We only begin to work on your piece once the financial transaction is completed). Checks must clear, money orders deposited and so forth. Please take into account how long that might take when you order. Proper invoices will be given.
Q. How long do you wait before processing an order?
A. We do not wait. As soon as the financial transaction is complete, we get right to work. If you ordered a piece we have in stock, it’ll ship within 48 hours.
Q. Where do you get your inspiration from?
A. We draw inspiration from all sorts of things. Books we’ve read, movies and shows we’ve watched. Most of the time however it’s just whatever we come up with along the way. Do let us know if you have something specific in mind. We try to accommodate everyone. If it’s possible, we’ll do it for you!
Q. How customizable are the orders and can that affect price?
A. Orders are fully customizable within reason. Depending on what you want, it may affect the price and/or length of time to create depending. We do try our best to maintain consistency as far as time goes. We realize 3 – 4 weeks is a long time to wait and we want you to be enjoying your new piece as soon as possible! Contact us directly for more information; be sure to provide us with as much information as you can so we know exactly what it is that you’re looking for. Please note: We use darker color stains due to the yellowing of specific chemicals, through the process of experimentation we found that this works / looks best.
