What a difference a day makes, or at least overnight. Sunny and 51 degrees in Ogden, Utah. Some coffee, for us and goofing around on the I-Pads, lets see what has transpired in Denver and Cheyenne. KOA-85 in Denver is relating that yes anywhere from 8- 14 inches, depending on location on the front range. Roads are wet in the Metro area. I-70 is closed between Frisco and Vail, CO. Loveland Pass is closed, so that means a delay every hour for oversized and wide loads, and Hazmat trucks, going through the Johnson-Eisenhower tunnels through the Continental Divide. KGAB 650 am Cheyenne says 10 to12 inches of wet snow in town. I-80 is closed between Cheyenne and Laramie. There are spots between Laramie and Rawlins, WY that are shut down as well. What would we do without I-Heart Radio through your cell phone? Probably have an better existence. That being said, YES we did make the right decision. A quick breakfast at the Hotel and outta Dodge,
(Ogden).
Ogden to Twin Falls, ID:
The storm that came through, during the night has deposited more snow on the Wasatch range. The rolling hills in southeastern, Idaho, are striking and they are green with the emerging Prairie grass. It is about a four hour thirty minute run to Boise, but our detour to the “Falls”, will add an hour or so. We’ll stop off at Twin Falls, ID for gas and then about 6 miles south to the Shoshone Falls.
My wife’s other college friend, the mother of the groom Vickki wrote and said you should see these on your way here. It is only $3.00 to get in. I wrote her back on my wife’s I-pad and said. “$3.00 !!! don’t you know we are on a retirement income!!” :P. She says I know, that’s why I am looking out for you.
Shoshone Falls, ID:
From the City of Twin Falls, ID Website
If you’re visiting the City of Twin Falls for the first time, Shoshone Falls, also known as the Niagara of the West, is a must-see. With a 212 foot drop and a width of 900 feet, it is one of the largest natural waterfalls in the United States.
The flows over the falls are seasonal runoffs from the mighty Snake River, which carves its way through deep basalt canyons and is the largest tributary to the Columbia River.

Click on the link, you will see the video, in another tab. you can close the tab and return to the story. Thanks…
As a side note The Shoshone Falls are higher than Niagara Falls. They are not as wide.
If you are ever in the area I highly recommend this The grounds are impeccably immaculate and you can picnic there if you want. There is two observation decks, and be prepared to get the over spray from the Falls. I DID NOT MELT!!
Boise is another two hours, and we’ll check in at Hotel 43 for our stay. It is named that because it is either on or close to the 43rd Parallel. We’ll be here Thursday thru
Sunday, with a check out early Monday. Then onto Couer ‘D Alene for the night then onto Canada.
