remix in poetry

The remix is samsara’s next step
after deconstruction’s ego-death.
You can’t make anything new
but you can make anything.
It’s all been done and
you can do it too.

First we see how clever we are
that we can break it down to
the building blocks from whence it came
then comes the really hard part
to take the old pieces and
build something better up again.

Reincarnation isn’t just
for people and for worms and cows
it’s just as important for ideas
for stories shows
for rituals and vows.

The narrative is stuck on the
karmic wheel just like us
like it or not
the challenge is to try and
make it a little better this time
to give it all we got.

It has all been done but
you can do it your way too.
You can make it into anything
it doesn’t matter that nothing’s new.
The point is make it you.
