This one simple trick to change the world!
Wow, local woman did this to change the world, you won’t believe how it works!
Can you save the world? Ninety-eight percent of people gave the wrong answer!
Just go on facebook, they’ll tell you how to do it…
Click this button to change the world.
There. There you did it.
It didn’t change anything of course but
now you can think you did something.
Sign this sheet of paper to change the world.
Just sign it, just sign it.
They paid some kid to stand in front of the grocery store
to make you sign it then you will change the world.
There. There you did it.
It didn’t change anything of course but
now the kid is gone and you can leave the parking lot in peace.
Forward this link, this hashtag, this picture
to every single one of your friends
this idea will change minds and the world with it
except all your friends all agree with you and
it’s just preaching to the choir. Just do it.
There. There you did it.
It didn’t change anything of course
but someone gets to up their ad rates now and
worst of all, you get to feel like you did something.
Worst of all, you get to feel like you did something
you feel like this changed something
so now you’re not going to go out and do something
to actually change something and
that’s how they got us.
No Big Brother, brother
a billion Little Brothers chattering distracting
confusing refracting
until we believe we’ve done our part
when we haven’t.
Here’s one weird trick, you won’t believe it
write a poem about the state of things and
read it here or there from time to time and
you’ll change the world
you’ll save the world.
Of course it won’t change anything at all
people will politely applaud or
more than politely if they’re friends
and that’s where it ends.
You won’t have done anything if
you don’t do what comes next.
Did you exchange
a leading role in the war for
a walk-on part in a cage
was it because all the
clicking and the yelling
falsely sated your rage?
Or did you know but were
afraid of the risk
knowing that if you fight the good fight
you might no longer exist?
