At 12:19pm today it was 94 degrees here and 49 degrees back home.

I had another good nights sleep last night. I slept with the windows open again.

I went through all the financial stuff with Mom this morning. She has kept the ship upright and on course for the past year. No worries.

Now we’re ready to go shopping for a new cook stove and refrigerator. I have already found the desired styles and a good price at Lowe’s. Less than $1000 for both should be possible.

And then we’ll shop for a new twin sized mattress for her bed.

And hopefully it will be a while before she thinks of something else to buy.

She’s decided to sell the golf cart. I don’t use it and neither does she. She isn’t able to set or release the parking brake. And of course, the seven months of the hot season she drove the car around the park anyway. We should be able to sell it for enough to pay for the new appliances. All good.

Tonight we’ll be going out for Mom’s birthday dinner with her posse. (Note to self- Just smile and go with the flow.)

Restricting Mom to doing just one thing a day is sure filling up the calendar. But that also means that I only have to do one thing a day. Jolly times.

Moms physical therapist is here right now, doing the exercise thing. She’s definitely done more today than I have. Making me tired just watching.

Daughter hasn’t called yet. I’m hoping she’ll call her Grandma today for her birthday.

Anyway, I’ll be sitting right here.
