Beauty And The Beast in Adventures in paradise

I’ve booked in again at the doctor for Friday straight after work, to get my results from the STi tests, even though I already obviously know what they are. It feels pointless actually, and I’ll be throwing away $75 for nothing. I’ve thought about just not going, but I feel bad, especially since the poor doctor had to look at my privates and everything lol. Although when I booked this time, I’ve been allocated a different doctor, so I hope it’s okay that he/she can give me the results rather than the one who tested me. That doctor seems to only be available at 2:40pm, and I can’t wait around that long as it’s inconvenient for me. Hopefully the other doctor can just tell me, ‘Yeah you were a slut, gimme another $75 and fuck off.”
Ergh, why do doctors have to be so expensive? Definitely sticking to the free clinic next time and will just have to deal with the barrage of questions they throw at me each time.
I do actually want to get a skin-check done at this doctor though and I’ve wondered if I can squeeze that into this appointment rather than coming back for a third time and (I assume 4th) to get those results, which would be another $150 ergh. I’d get about half of it back on Medicare, which is something.

Last night I went to the movies with Moe, Steve and Moe’s new boyfriend, Ben. Moe was kind enough to pick me up from Spring Hill (my suburb), but I always have to walk about a kilometer to the shops to a place where he parks his car, rather than him picking me up from my house lol. It’s kind of weird actually, but anyway, I was thankful for the lift.
Moe told me a bit about what was happening with his life and then asked me if there was anyone special in my life, or if there were many special guys in my life lol. I was justs quiet though. I do consider Moe a good friend of mine, but I find his judgements of my life a little bit confronting at times. Like, I don’t feel comfortable telling him about what guys I’ve been with etc. In fact, I didn’t even tell him about my little incident last week. I could just imagine the response to that one. “Well that’s what ya get!” comes to mind.
Sorry that we all can’t find true love at first sight, like he seemingly has with Ben.

We went and saw “Beauty And The Beast” in Gold Class at North Lakes, which was something nice and different, as I hadn’t been to the cinemas there before, and it’d been like a decade since I last went to a Gold Class session, and what better day to do it on than a Tuesday when tickets are $25 rather than the usual $42. It’s a total ripoff and not something I’d do often at all, but I figured since I was there (and I was starving), I got them to bring me in Nachos and a lemon lime and bitters at the start of the movie, and red velvet waffles half-way through the film. OMG the waffles were sooo sooo unhealthy and sooo sooo good lol. They came covered in bits of different types candy and meringue and was topped with a delicious vanilla bean icecream. Plus I thought the movie was awesome!

Moe had prebought the ticket for me (A good thing, as it was sold out), but me and Steve were seated on the left side of the cinema, whilst Moe and his bf were seated on the right. That was fine, we weren’t talking during it anyway plus of course Moe is going to choose his bf over his friends anyway.

Moe offered to drive me home, which was nice, but then only got as far as Chermside where he dropped me off and I caught a bus the rest of the way home lol. I was happy to do that from Northlakes anyway. I think he just showed off that he was being nice by offering me a lift in front of his boyfriend, but then once we were in the car, he’s like, “Gurrrl, you can get the bus home.”
Kidding. I didn’t mind. I’m used to buses.
On the short drive to Chermside, Moe told me that he can see himself marrying Ben. It feels like they’ve literally been dating for like 2 months, if that (although it probably has been longer), and he’s talking about marriage already. Not that it’s even legal here yet, but hey that doesn’t stop us from organizing a ceremony anyway. My friend Naomi married her girlfriend last year where I was one of the Best Men, and that was adorable. They intend to do it again once it’s made legal here.
But anyway that’s Moe for you - always throwing everything into the deep-end and wearing his heart on his sleeve.
Having said that, Ben seemed lovely. I can’t believe it took me this long to actually meet him, although last time I saw a movie with Moe, he wasn’t with us. I joked with Moe that Ben had really nice lips and that I’m sure he’s enjoying them. There goes me with my mind in the gutter again :P

Jaydn sent me a couple of the images but I don’t think they’re edited yet. One was one of the poses I did where I put my finger to my lips, except my hands look so manly in front of my make-up’d face LOL. I even suggested to him that I should have worn gloves, but he told me he had a ‘skin-softener’ function in the editing software, so hopefully that gets used. I’m still annoyed at the choice of emergency wig (this entry-title has more than one meaning - my make-up was the ‘beauty’ and that wig was the ‘beast’), but I need to just get over it. I love Mel’s comment that it looks a bit Kathy-Griffin-esque LOL.
So I’m gonna wait until he’s editted some and hopefully one of them will be decent enough to share haha.
This is the other one he sent me, one taken before to give the make-up artist an idea of what to do, and then he split it with one of the shots once I had the outfit on. Definitely better than the manly-hands one, which I will hold onto privately I think.
