Mothers Day, it was Mothering Sunday when I was young, and Dad would take us the Percy Thrower Garden Centre for a plant in a pot, they would last longer; and one day they would end in the garden.

Percy Thrower was a bright light in the ‘Dig for Victory’ campaign get people growing food in the Second World War, he was on television the first time in 1951, and was the BBC’s Television Gardener; if you well buying a plant and Percy was in he would give you some tips.

The last few weeks I have passed the adds for Mothers Day, the children’s Mum has been dead two years and my mother gone near a year; I felt out of this Sunday’s celebration in Church, the little arraign of daffodils were given to those who with a Mother or was a Mother, then came to us with memories; it is nice to see a few daffodils from the Church in our lounge.
