Cyclone Debbie in Holy Shit!

This is what Cyclone Debbie looks like (bottom photo) at the moment. It’s going to cross just south of Townsville tomorrow morning.
I am south of the southern end (out of the way) of the cyclone, but she looks like a doozy! We’ll probably cop the rain from it more than likely, as they tend to head south across crossing.
They are saying it’s bigger than Cyclone Yasi (top photo), which was 6 years ago. I dunno about that, Yasi was gigantic. Time will tell
Really hoping the people I know up there are keeping safe. My little brother posted a photo of him drinking a beer next to a boat in the Gulf Of Carpentaria (which is the huge bay/gulf between Queensland and Northern Territory for anyone who doesn’t know) and he commented saying, “What cyclone?”. I think it should be safe from the deluge but it depends which way it decides to go, but it should weaken either way.
