Drama? Really? in Day by Day

I’m putting the brother entries on private. Last night I made a comment on someone’s entry about my personal preference based on things I’ve seen. I received a rather defensive reply. I responded that I’d not used the word “you” and that my observation wasn’t meant to be personal. The reply was that it was too personal and I thought I was better, and a couple of other snide comments. I deleted my comment and walked away. She knows there’s been a death in the family and that I’m worried about my seriously ill brother. I just don’t have time for her drama over a difference of opinion. It’s petty.

Gypsywynd and I differ in our viewpoints on telemarketers, but she didn’t take it personally and now when either of us mentions telemarketing, we just kind of snicker together. It’s sort of become an inside joke between us.

I come here for the sisterhood. For the record, I don’t think I’m better than anyone else and if you’re concerned because you imagine I have great wealth, don’t be. I’m comfortable, but I’m not wealthy. And for the record, you should know I grew up around wealthy people and most of them are self-centered and unkind, so do NOT feel inferior to others. We all die in the end, ya know?

I don’t do cat fights. Ever. The best way to lose my friendship is to go hormonal on me. I’m not going to agree 100% with you on everything and I don’t expect you to agree 100% with me on everything. That would be creepy. I love online journals BECAUSE we are all a bit different. I might learn about a different country or live vicariously through you, experiencing the joy of being a grandparent, which will never happen in my life. You might mention something you bought that interests me, or a book you read, or your job struggles or whatever. I hope you get the same from me.

But if you want to turn into a Mean Girl, move on. THAT does NOT interest me in the least.

End of Statement.
