Death in the Family in Generally Speaking...

Is it me, or does the loss of OD feel like a death in the family? I mean, I have made some of the most amazing friends there. My facebook allows me to keep in touch with them, but there's nothing quite like writing and noting. And I haven't felt like doing it there in a while. So much so that it's hard to do it here. But, it's a new year, and I feel like I'm becoming a new person this year, so why the hell not?

Currently, Will and I are quitting smoking. That's 20 years for each of us, and the tobacco industry can now suck it with the loss of our $4,000.00 per year. We are using electric cigarettes, which is called vaping, and we are LOVING it. So many new experiences there...it's surreal. It's all about finding out your device, your flavor. So different to have something to focus on while my body forgets about smoking. I don't miss it one iota.

Tomorrow is the Superbowl. I have no dog in that fight, so on behalf of one of my friends...Go Seahawks!

It's great to see you here! At first it seemed like a loss. I hand picked entries, I know I missed a few and I deleted it all.

I was initially one to rage against the dying of the light, but now I rather like it here. Glad to see your name pop up in bold on my list

I've quit several times with my vape and my fiancee has been smoke free for almost a year now, save for a cigarette here and there when his battery died. I'm switching back to mine once we're all under the same roof again.

quitting smoking was quite possibly one of the hardest things I ever did. It's also one of the things I'm most proud about in my life :) Good luck!

And I'm so proud of you. I wish my mom would try e-cigs.

Im proud of both of you. I didnt vape but I used chantix for a week. The hand to mouth syndrome was the hardest to break so vaping probably helps that. Have you found a king cake flavor yet?

I actually went over to OD again last night just to double check my bookmarks and see if any others had made the move here and, before I knew it, tears were running down my face. It very much does feel like a death in the family, but PB feels like a newborn baby, so sweet and young and full of promise.

Good job on the quitting smoking! I've been wanting to try for a long time and things just keep happening in life and I think if I tried just now, I'd end up in a straight jacket in a padded room :D
