Religion is the ransomware
of the human operating system
fully ready to fix at great cost to you
the myriad problems that it itself caused
holding you hostage at ridiculous price and
if you’re actually gullible enough to pay
then it really sinks its claws in and
will hound at your creditline forever
or at least until your computer dies
when you’ll be left to realize
it never had a lick of power outside
of the weight that you chose to give it
that you were enough of a goddamn mark
to allow it to have in the first place.
