Apparently, I am already reaping rewards from getting us back home! I mean… wow. Hooray! Funny thing is… I am 100% certain that, without taking the path that we have, Wife would not be this way now. If we hadn’t gone to Omaha… I think she still would have been sex-shy. If we hadn’t come to Tiny Town… I don’t know if we would have stayed married (honestly). And I wouldn’t consider it unusual for Wife to go “back to being herself” after the move. But for now? After a freeze-out in Omaha and both of us being depressed in Tiny Town… I mean… seriously… we’ve not had sex twice in the same week ever. And last night… while it wasn’t “productive” for either of us… last night was like a need. Every time I got off of her or she got off of me… she’d see that I was still hard and she’d indicate that she needed it back inside of her. The passionate, intense, magical kind of interaction I’ve always wanted. It was… amazing!

Funny thing about it, and I’m certain Wife doesn’t realize this, is that the new level of activity… makes me want to be less fat. Like… Wife used to say she didn’t want to have sex with me because I’d gotten so fat. And that hasn’t changed. But her wanting to have sex now? Makes me want to be in better shape for her. I get that everybody operates differently… but I’m the kind of guy that wants to prove my worth. Essentially, as messed up as this is, I’m the person that will prove I would make a good CEO after I become CEO… until then, I’ll just prove I’m a good worker.

Speaking of work… it is funny. One of the games I play on Facebook is “Pearl’s Peril.” It is a Find The Hidden Objects Game but with a few twists to make the game unique. Well the “select action” screen involves beach sounds… waves, tide, seagulls. So I’m keeping it open in the background as I do my work; and my office sounds like the beach. Only problem is.... it is too relaxing. I could just sit here and listen to the ersatz beach all day and be chill, lol.

.......... I need a document template from Ran but he’s in a meeting.... so I was looking at Legal Questions in Iowa. A few months ago, some asshole (white male) decided to ambush and murder two Des Moines Area Police Officers. Currently, his attorneys have filed a motion to change venue. It is being discussed on a public forum whether that motion should be denied. It… reminds me… how little of the law average people seem to understand. Granted, this is very emotional. It is for me, as well. One of the dead Officers was the son of someone in my current office. Then add on the fact that this all happened in Des Moines and… yeah, it is personal to me. But that is why the Law is worthy. However personally affected we may be; the law allows a society to operate on (an intended) base of logic. LOGIC: Greene should receive a change of venue for reasons of Judicial Efficacy and Constitutional Protections Against A Tainted Jury Pool. Humorously, the people on the Public Forum are actually proving that Legal Logic to be 100% accurate. A sample of quotes (some favoring logic, hooray): “There shouldn’t even be a trial, let alone a change of venue. He’s guilty! Stop wasting tax payer money!” “No trial, HANG HIM!” “He should man up and announce his guilt. Stop being such a little bitch!” “All of you are giving examples for why he may win change of venue.” “This man, as shitty as he is, has rights. We should at least do the dog and pony show to protect the likely conviction.” “He’s got rights… sure. But the officers had the right to live and come home safely to their families. I pray he gets the sentence he deserves-life!” “Free that innocent man because cops out here be shooting people.” “This pig needs to be fried!!! Shouldn’t even be wasting more tax money on him by even letting him have a second chance for a trial” “The Democratic Party The Party of hate is against America’s Police Department these people the police put their life on the line for all of us. Support your police.” “SOB. I’d love to see you die, but u don’t deserve the easy way out. u need to rot in maximum security prison for life.”

And that… ladies and gentlemen… is a sampling of “A jury of your peers.” And I can tell you (because I took Jury Theory) this is exactly what attorneys are looking for in American Jurists. The smarter you are; the more likely it is that you would honestly judge the case based strictly on the evidence presented… the less likely it is that the attorneys want you on the jury. Attorneys are looking for people “on their side.” You can’t be an extremist or a nut case… but in a “Kid Kills Cop” case… the attorney for the defense is looking for people who hate cops, mistrust authority, and think Children need to be protected. Attorney for the prosecution is looking for people who defer to cops, believe that love of community is preserved through “order,” and think that Children should be held responsible for their actions, no matter how heinous.

Bother. I have a list of things to do before I leave work (early) to go to Omaha. But… I need to wait on one little thing before I can keep going forward. I get that is what The Law is… but I expect/desperately hope it isn’t like that at my new position. We shall see, though. I must confess I am nervous about the position. In part; because it will be a much better indicator of whether I should continue to be an attorney. And because I don’t know what to expect as far as “training and case assignment.” I mean… this will be a very new thing and I’m staking a lot on the risk. I just… hope it works out. But for THIS weekend… Omaha and Fun and All That Good Stuff!
