Remembering how to rant in Normal entries

I sincerely apologize for any crazy shit I might have typed that seems somewhat tolerant of the orange thing that has usurped my country and both Greek and Jeffersonian constructs of Democracy. I apologize if I’ve tried to humanize the nutjob zombie sycophants who feel safe to come out into the sun now that one of their own sits on the throne. I apologize for suggesting a method to the madness.
Although I’ve never stated much of an opinion one way or the other on the second amendment, anyone who has considered arming themselves, now would be a good time. Since, apparently, there is going to have to be blood in the streets, I’d just as soon it wasn’t all mine. I’m not talking about the right to bear arms, I’m talking about the right to form a miltia necessary to the security of a free state.

Representatives of every West coast state on the mainland have stated clearly and without equivocation, that they don’t intend to follow the immigration ban or to stop offering sanctuary. They’ve been threatened with sanctions and withholding of federal funds. California said something to the effect of ‘Fuck you, we’ll stop paying federal taxes’. I’m sure Oregon said that too, but, you know, there’s more taxpayers in L.A. alone than the entire state of Oregon. Washington likes taking it to the streets.

In local news, heh, I got an email from my neighborhood association asking for a donation so I can get the “real” local news. Silly, but I bet it’ll be their strongest contribution drive ever. Hell, I almost opened my wallet until I read the free preview. There was also a broader suggestion that the Lansing Refugee Development Center needs volunteers and donations. That looks hopeful but it’s a bit shy on information, like, for instance, are they developing the center (because I’ve never heard of it) or developing refugees (not like making them out of body parts, but, you know, like voc rehab) and what refugees (I’m thinking, perhaps, people from Flint who still don’t have clean water. I’m ok with helping people from flint or people from Syria, but, you know, it’s an important distinction to leave off).

I am a tolerant liberal and an ethical pacifist. To me that means listening to the otherside and not starting shit when a bit of kindness can solve things. We are way the fuck past that. My belief in tolerance and pacifism only extends to reasonable situations, I’m not fucking ghandi. I’d be the kind of vegan that bore no ill will to a hamburger, but when the hamburger started threatening basic human rights and dignity I’d eat the motherfucker and the cow it rode in on. Just saying. It’s time to eat the right lunatic fringe before they encroach on the center. The best cocktail to serve with such a meal? Molotov.
