I used to create Political Memes. My most famous (though, that is using the term loosely) meme to this point has been the following:
But… prior to Trump’s Rise; I really wasn’t obsessively political. That has changed. Trump has proven himself to be mentally unstable (focusing on inauguration size). Trump’s Cabinet is largely made up of terrible choices who are resoundingly unqualified. And.... so much more. I mean…
On Wednesday, the president of the United States made historic moves to recast the country as an angry, insular nation, one that recoils from the world around it and casts suspicion on those within and without. This is the America that Donald Trump envisioned; this is the America he campaigned on; this is the country he’s delivering. Here’s what happened on the worst day in Trump’s America so far.
Voter Fraud Sham—Today, the president of the United States rolled out of bed and called for a “major investigation” into nonexistent voter fraud.
The Wall to Nowhere—Today, President Trump signed an order directing the Department of Homeland Security to build a wall along the border with Mexico.
Immigrants as Criminals—Today, we learned that part of America’s new anti-immigration strategy will be a weekly published report of “a comprehensive list of criminal actions committed by aliens and any jurisdiction that ignored or otherwise failed to honor any detainers with respect to such aliens.”
Criminalization of Immigrants—Today, we found out that there will be an “Office for Victims of Crimes Committed by Removable Aliens.”
Disposable People—Today, the president of the United States began referring to humans as “removable aliens.”
Global Peace and Security Is a Bad Investment—Today, we learned the president of the United States is preparing to reduce its investment in and influence on the world and is preparing a draft order titled “Auditing and Reducing U.S. Funding of International Organizations,” which calls for “at least a 40 percent overall decrease” in U.S. funding of international organizations. “If President Trump signs the order and its provisions are carried out, the cuts could severely curtail the work of United Nations agencies, which rely on billions of dollars in annual United States contributions for missions that include caring for refugees,” according to the New York Times.
Making a Multilateral World, Bilateral—Today, the president signaled a retreat from America’s international commitments in a draft executive order titled “Moratorium on New Multilateral Treaties.” “The [order] calls for a review of all current and pending treaties with more than one other nation. It asks for recommendations on which negotiations or treaties the United States should leave,” according to the New York Times. “The order says this review applies only to multilateral treaties that are not ‘directly related to national security, extradition or international trade,’ but it is unclear what falls outside these restrictions. For example, the Paris climate agreement or other environmental treaties deal with trade issues but could potentially fall under this order. An explanatory statement that accompanies the draft order mentions two United Nations treaties for review: the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.”
Refugees Rejected—Today, we learned that the U.S. government believes refugees are not welcome in the country at the moment and fewer will be welcome in the future.
Targeting Muslims—Today, we are one day closer to the president of the United States broadly declaring millions of Muslims unwelcome in America.
Defining Americans—Today, we learned that in the coming days the Trump administration is planning on letting the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which provided protections on undocumented immigrants who arrived as children, expire.
Torture Works—Today, we found out that President Trump believes torture “works,” that he is planning on issuing an executive order reauthorizing the use of torture by the CIA and reopening notorious “black site” prisons to carry out torture of terrorism suspects, like the prison in Guantánamo Bay, which will continued to be used.
It was a dark day.

JUST REALIZED SOMETHING (HAD TO SHARE):
Reading “Trump Voter Regrets” I kept thinking “Why did you think that Trump would do/act like that?!” THEN I REALIZED!
Candidate Trump is Bella Swan! An outline of a character that people could fill with their own ideas; but when you see it “in action” you realize that it is JUST the weak character outline and NO substance!
“Friends -
Something that’s been on my mind today.
Like many of you, I had a chance to watch President Donald Trump’s interview with David Muir of ABC News on Wednesday night.
I’ll admit I was optimistic. Muir is a talented journalist, and I knew he’d be fair in the questions he asked the President. It was hoping it wouldn’t be combative. I was hoping President Trump would use the opportunity to expand on his plans for our country, and how he plans to implement many of the policies his administration will pursue over the coming months.
Instead, like many of you, I was profoundly disappointed.
I walked away with the sense that our President is supremely more concerned with his public image than he is in actually leading our country.
How many people attended the inauguration, how it was portrayed on television, or how much a group loved a speech are of ZERO consequence to the future of America. They are silly, petty debates that ALL sides need to move past.
Beyond that, the most alarming conclusion I’ve come to, based on all available evidence?
President Trump has absolutely no grasp of policy or how to implement it.
While he does seem have a grasp of issues facing the United States, and campaigned on many of them, he clearly has no idea or plan for how to fix or implement anything. Most can identify the problem, but it takes great leaders to find solutions and strive towards those ends.
A prime example? The repeal of Obamacare.
Yes, Obamacare is dead. The GOP has the votes to repeal it with or without Trump, and will likely do so with much haste. Love it or hate it, Obamacare is dead in the water.
So, a reasonable question was posed- how would President Trump replace Obamacare?
The President’s answer? After much dancing around: “We’re gonna have a much better health care plan at much less money.” No timeline. No plan. Nothing. Only blame thrown at Obamacare for being terrible.
There are numerous other examples. You can read the rest for yourself here: http://abcnews.go.com/…/transcript-abc-news-anchor-d…/story…
Executive orders, of which President Trump has signed many, are great, but in many cases nothing more than written affirmations of campaign promises with no real teeth.
The campaign has been won, and Donald J. Trump needs to realize he is now President of the United States, and stop simply “playing to his audience”
As the President of the United States, you represent ALL Americans. Not just those that support you, and certainly not just those that voted for you.
The time for ego and petty concern over public image is over. That’s not what being the leader of the free world is about.”

“When Dick Cheney says, “Your policy is racist and anti-American”… you should REALLY listen. I get it. I have friends and family that have been VERY verbal about supporting Anti-Muslim Policies. But here is the difficult, beautiful conundrum of the US..... people cannot be targeted for their religion. Satanist, Atheist, Muslim, Jainist… whatever. If you want to support the ideals of AMERICA, it includes supporting the Constitution. ESPECIALLY the Bill of Rights. If you are comfortable with targeting laws against a specific religion; you need to re-evaluate what it is to be the Land of the Free!”

“Money enough to build a wall; to attack Americans; to detain refugees.... and yet, no money for NEA or Environmental Protection or Infrastructure or Public Education?
Call it a conspiracy; but this is why we need Trump’s tax returns and we need him to obey the Emolument’s Clause. Because: billions of dollars wasted while attacking genuine need sounds like a Profit Grab.”

And then I created two new Memes (we’ll see if they even get CLOSE to my best, unlikely)
Lots of people are trying to “rebel” against “The deluge of political posts” with “Cute Puppies Because Politics Suck.” Well… that might be true but… even Gorbachov is now saying “We are closer to war than ever.” Politics may suck but if we decide we don’t want to get involved… America is doomed. Seriously. The problems we face just ECONOMICALLY from what Trump and the Republicans have been doing? Forget war, violence, and the legitimate honest threats to our physical well being… America is under attack by Trump and this Administration in ways that should terrify everyone. So… I give you the two following memes created by me:
