I mentioned to the counselor that I need to find some distractions to keep my mind off the bottle when it comes weekend time where I have two full nights of nothing to do. Sooo…after a restless night I decided why not go get another tattoo.
This time I got the owner of the shop, Greg, to ink me. He’s regarded as one if not THE best artist in town.
My shirt reads, “Snapcat,” and it is an orange tabby with a big smile taking a selfie.
Final product and believe me this was probably the most painful tattoo I’ve gotten yet.
That is the Luggage from the Discworld series written by Terry Pratchett.
From the Discworld wiki, “The Luggage is a fictional object that appears in several of the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett. It is a large chest made of Sapient Pearwood (a magical, intelligent plant which is nearly extinct, impervious to magic, and only grows in a few places outside the Agatean Empire, generally on sites of very old magic, such as Indian burial grounds and ancient monolithic sites). It can produce hundreds of little legs protruding from its underside and can move very fast if the need arises. It has been described as “half suitcase, half homicidal maniac” (Sourcery paperback p22).”
It took about a good two and a half hours to get it all done but well worth it.
But yeah. First Saturday I haven’t poisoned my liver in a while. I’m mostly tired if anything due to a restless night and getting up around seven something this morning. After Svengoolie’s horror film feature tonight I’m going to head to bed.
