Dylan Roof in Voices Windward

So the Neo-Nazi terrorist Dylan Roof who shot up a church has been sentanced to death.

A dozen Anarchist and Socialist networks on my social media celebrate this state execution.

I prefer the other half who are organising unrelated noise demos for prisioner solidarity.

• Abused proles who live oppressed lives often become enticed by criminality and/or bigoted value systems. This is the fault of the state and we do not end such reckless hate by clapping the state as it kills a person.

• Violence be it from an individual or organisation should only ever come with a situational requirment or in defence of oneself or others. An imprisioned man is no threat to the people and the burden of rehabilitation or isolation from society is more just tariff than murder.

• Yes, even for Nazi’s who kill people. We don’t get to stall our social morals becuase it’s convienant.

• Mental health issues should have been a vital issue, regardless of whether of not “he believed in them”, hewas known to services and medicated and we shouldn’t ignore his mental health because he was a nazi.

• Direct personal response is a completly differant matter… (One I assume taken by whoever paid the $100,000 bond to the guy who battered him in prision the day after it happened.) The fury of a person is their own matter, and if my brother had been shot I would bay for their death too, but as a community we need to be stronger than the individual and respond in a measured steady manner.

• What ever the crime, no matter how horrific, we have to understand the context and the lives of all those involved. Even if they hate us and wont us dead… Their history, their illness, the possibility to change… and even given they are rotten through and through… we shouldn’t execute captives.

We shouldn’t hand over justice and ethics just because they don’t sit with us, regardless how what we think of a person or what they have done, we cannot, and should not, EVER, endorse murder by the state, and should always force them to commit a full investigation and judicial proceeding regardless of any personal, social or institutional bias.

We should not celebrate the actions these facist governments promote… even if it is less efficent. We hold quarter for our foes, have mercy on our enemies, we do not torture captives or execute them either. It’s what makes us the “goodies”.

This goes for animal abusers, peados, bankers,the dickhead no one likes, the popular dude everyone adores, the pretty, the ugly, Nazis, Anarchists, insurgents, terrorists, people who talk in the cinema and those who litter etc etc.
