MENopause... in Friends With the Benedicts

Yep, I am here. And here I shall stay. I haven’t decided yet if I am going to do hormones or not. I have to wait 21 days post surgery, which was on the 10th, to even start them if I decide to. Right now, I do feel a little crazy, and Laura is a little scared of me. The hot flashes have been mild when they come and easy to get thru. So all in all, it hasn’t been bad. Now, me and my Mom together is another story. We are both menopausal and both not on hormones. It has been interesting. I may just have to get on them so we don’t kill each other. LOL!

Since I last wrote, not much has happened other than the surgery. Oh, my landlord did agree to let us just pay extra on rent in lieu of paying utilities so that was nice, bought us another month of not worrying about being homeless. If anyone out of state has anything to offer, please do. LOL! Actually I prolly shouldn’t move away from my doctors right now. I am hoping to stay here as long as I can. I just am trying to find a way to do so. :( Well, I am tired and prolly gonna take something and hit the hay. OH - and besides surgery lingering MINIMAL pain, I am PAIN FREE!!!! (other than body aches from MS all the time) It has been WONDERFUL!! They finally fixed me! They just had to take it ALL out! does happy dance

OH - and remember when I won $200 on that I Love Lucy ticket? I won a SECOND $200 on the same kind of ticket not even a week later. I woke Laura up with it. Here is the second one. To see the first, go back an entry:

Ever since winning twice in a week, I have lost. I guess my poor brain thought that was the norm, and I should win every time. Well, I now know how lucky I was!!! So, YAY! $400 in a week, not bad!!! And I only spent maybe $20 on the tickets themselves. One was bought from money won from another ticket. ;) I believe that was the first one. OK, gonna go now. I will tell yall all about Red, my replacement lappy that my Mom got me for the one she broke the keyboard on at another time. But, needless to say, she is red, great, and I am writing this entry on her. :) Also, we got a new (to us, it is older) desktop yay! We are finally out of the windows XP era! Don’t laugh ok, it was a good program in its day and still is!!! To be Continued......

I’m back, and now to do some more updating with statuses.

1/10 - Stephanie is out of surgery and in recovery. Everything went pretty well but she had alot of scar tissue on one ovary and the dr. had a hard time getting it out. I’ll update more after I see the bear lol…

That was written by my Mom on the day of my surgery, obviously. LOL

1/10 - *I’m alive and kicking. Doc said that it took longer than it should have because there was scar tissue on one and it was hard to get out. My left ovary (the one that’s been hurting) had a big cyst on it. A 30 minute surgery took an hour and a half. Sorry if I scared anyone. Anywhoo.. I’m hurting and tired so I just want my wife now. Got us a big bag of Krystals. *

LOL. I dunno why I took a pic of the pharmacy, but whatevs. That is the one I usually use, it has been there FOREVER. It’s so awesome, still looks like the 50’s inside, ;)

1/11 - Is in sooo much pain today. But I just wanted to let everyone know that if it weren’t for this beautiful woman I am privileged to call my wife, it would be much worse!! She refuses to let me do anything, got the bed all ready for me, as well as fixed the VCR when it broke. I just love her more everyday. Despite how things have started out, 2017 will be the “Year of Laura”. We will be getting all her issues taken care of, finally finding her a new doc, etc. But for now, I keep waking up from the pain. Ugh. This is way worse than last time, which was worse than the hysterectomy. Doc had to cut me real bad on the left side because that one didn’t wanna come out and had a huge cyst. So that’s where I am hurting. Love yall thanks for the thoughts and prayers!
