...on Sickness in meh...

So to recap, since last Sunday, I’ve been battling this thing.

Started out as a throat thing. I gargled with apple cider vinegar a few times over a few days to break up the stuff.

I then started with the vinegar w/honey (until I ran out), cayenne pepper, and since I didn’t have lemons, I used that Country Time lemonade mix I had. I was even drinking lemon and ginseng green tea with no sugar.

All was okay but then it moved to my chest and I cough up the most un-Godly colored stuff. I consult my books on coughs. Think it may be bronchitis. Then I start on water because it’s “the best expectorant” and I know that’s what I need. Tired of water, I get juice and meds from Scott.

I’ve been kind of leery about medications lately. Not because I’m all “pharmaceutical company conspiracy” theorist and shit. Nothing like that. Sometimes, I just don’t like the way the meds do me. I mean, yes, Thanks for stopping my cough, but does the shit HAVE to fester in my chest so that when I do cough, and trust it’s bringing some noise and the stuff I haven’t coughed up, it tastes like I’m sick. Like, penicillin medicinal grossness. And as long as it isn’t green, I’m okay. I will take the ugly gross yellow w/brown ting stuff. But green means infection. And then there is the way my head feels. I can tell it’s sinus pressure, but the meds seem to just…dry my entire life out. And I feel weird. The only medicine I’ve ever taken that did me right was the Thera-Flu that you mix with hot water. I didn’t care that I was asleep for most of that time. It stopped me from eating.

So now, I’m just on water. The cough has gotten better. I took meds last night so that I could sleep without the coughing, but I think I might be a part time drug addict or something. It’s like my body gets use to stuff. I don’t like that. So I try not to get “sick” and I try not to use meds if possible. I think if you take meds for the thing that’s not wrong with you, that’s what’s going to manifest. And I believe that’s what has happened because now I have a runny nose to boot.

Trade one devil in for another you say?
Yeah, well…
I’m on the mend, though I suppose.
Take care, and stay well…

Kindest regards,
Sister
