cont’d from last entry.

i mentioned that we watched tv. well one night I watched part of ‘little women’. and another we watched the thing on the beatles on pbs ‘becoming the beatles’ it was called. Most nights we watched the news and that doc martin show. about the dr. w/ asperger’s who’s afraid ofblood. the tv was a season behind. it’s funny and ever since my mom told me about it awhile ago i’d wanted to see it.usually i don’t watch the news bc well a i don’t watch tv on tv and 2 the sad stories. like the one about the children in africa who were sick. i know it happens but i don’t want to see it on tv. I like news stories about human interest er human interest stories i mean. and animals unless they’re sad. or about the events that are going on. or when they do little segments like about the history of the xmas tree or when they have cooking. people helping people. yeah those i like.
oh we also watched an ep. of a vet show though i don’t remember what it was called. but one of the um staff members was Amy and in the ep. her boss said she was one of the sweetest kindest most amazing people he’d ever met. he had dark hair and glasses if that helps at all. One of the dogs they brought in was having surgery. and when they were going to show the surgery we went into another room. i don’t mind reading about surgery but actually seeing it is another thing. also i like animals.
oh so on Mon. which was when we saw the Bowie mural. well that night. right that’s the night our heat went out. Well apparently what had happened was the lady the lady being the manager of the flat had turned it way down. which makes sense to do if no one’s going to be staying in it. but i would think a wk. to maybe a couple days before people are arriving the people should turn the heat up. not like my mom i are incapable of doing so or anything cause we’re not. but that’s beside the point. also evidently when my mom went down there the laundry room was cold as hell since someone had left the window open. which well i get why........but after awhile close it so it won’t be as cold. So the lady according to my mom offered to buy us dinner.which we didn’t want. i mean it’s a nice thing to do for someone but we didn’t want it. we wanted the damn thing fixed. [which well oh we got the heat up and high and running and.fixed] and the reason i know this happened Mon. other than from memory is cause we went and saw ‘the mousetrap’ Tues. as i’d mentioned. and so. in the show they mentioned something about the heat not working or something.just like ours hadn’t been.
ok so the following night. which was Wed. [btw this is left vague on purpose cause when i talked to my mom about it she eluded to the fact that i shouldn’t say anything. so please don’t ask what happened. but everything’s ok] well my mom had a medical situation. and so when we got back to the flat after seeing ‘dreamgirls’ [which again omygod what a show] and going to waitrose she called the dr. cause she’s on this drug thing for a drug trial and i guess the people who gave it to her [and we’re not sure if it’s a placebo or not cause they won’t tell us]. well they told her where to go.if something happened while we were on vacation. so when we got back to the flat she called the place and they were still open.yeah it was 5 mins. after we’d gotten back. i’d told her prior to that that if she needed to goi’d go w/ her. you know you’re growing up when..........]. so she called a cab and we went to the medical center. now i. do’t like medical centers hospitals anything of the sort cause of what could’ve happened almost 4 yrs. ago. but i don’t think.it’s not like my mom wanted to go it’s not like that’s something she wanted to do. i don’t think most people do.

so when we got there well i went in ahead of her and told the nice indian desk guy [as in from india not as in.native american. well i guess they’re not native if they weren’t born here. anyway] that something about that the appt. wasn’t for me but it was for my mom and he asked where is she and well she came shortly and signed in and all that. so he had to push a button in order to unlock the bathroom which is weird.
we didn’t have to wait long. oh we were in soho if that means anything. apparently there’s also a soho in london as well as new york. [yeah in new york it stands for south houston but there they say it ‘house-ton’. yeah my sister mentioned that to me at some point. anyway]. the nurse was really nice i love nurses. most of them are nice. my mom i were talking abut this. like my eye dr. isn’t that nice he’s not at all personable but the assistant lady is super nice. so we went into the office and told the nurse lady about the situation. so the nurse looked some stuff up online and gave her some info. and wrote her a prescription. my mom brought all her medications and told the nurse about the drug trial thing. oh and we didn’t have to pay cause there was something wrong w/ their system. so we got lucky again. i wrote some stuff down. the nurse was mrs. appleby. like the food place.

so after. oh that was the night we got lost. We asked a newspaper guy where Boots pharmacy was. i think he was danish.maybe. 1 he was tall and they’re tall there and 2 his accent. and 3 he was reserved and in the netherlands they’re reserved though in London almost ‘everyone’s ‘ reserved. so we found Boots and went in. we had to go upstairs to get to the pharmacy part. a nice indian [again. as in from india] lady helped us out.

went back to the flat again. so it was a fairly long day.

So at some point during the wk. part of our power went out twice. My mom called the lady and the lady told her where the fuse box was. and we got it all worked out. we figured out the reason the power went out. well we think it was cause of my mom’s phone charger. she unlike me will evidently leave her phone charging when she’s not in the room whereas i won’t. it’s interesting that only part of the power went out. oh in the flat there are these 2 touch lamps. only they’re not the round kind they’re tall and rectangular. they’re kindof annoying cause when you move them you of course touch them and that makes the light brighter or turns them off. this is the same reason i don’t like touch screens. i would never want a phone that has a touch screen. they’re such a thing now.

oh so like i said before the show we went into a hotel. well the hotel we went into was the same one we’d gone into last yr. we watched the fish.

i mentioned the peter statue in one of my recent entries. well i mean/t the peter pan statue in hyde park.

so then on Sat. we flew back to denver. When we were in the airport at London we went to the BA lounge where i had cookies and took some coke. the beverage. to have at my house my mom took a few small cans of beverges to have at her house too. we just like those little cans. i also took a croissant.thing to have for later. and i was so glad i did cause on Sun. or whenever i ate it. at my house.

So on the plane I had this asian vegetarian thing. the 2nd part of it was rice w/ the i think maybe it’s curry............they have it indian food. it was good spicy. and i got a dessert along w/ my meal. My mom & I well i was going to get cheese while she got the caramel thing and so we’d split it that’s what we decided. well when i ordered the cheese one of the flight attendant ladies told me she had a dessert for me. it was this weird cold mango........thing but it wasn’t ice cream. i had some of the tiny choc. cake slice my mom had. and bread they kept offering us bread and so i got 3 pieces. it was cheese bread. i’ve had the cheese bread like i’ve gotten it from the store here and i didn’t like it it was too weird. but i liked the flight cheese bread. oh and i had coke. oh they also kept offering us bottles of water they offered it like 4 times. my mom got 3 i didn’t get any as i don’t like water.
