So on Fri. the.......the day after thanksgiving we went to London. my aunt came. well not w/ us to London but w/ us to the airport. she was going back i think to d.c. where she now lives. she’s retired now she used to be a foreign service officer and then for a short time recently she did something to do w/ editing. actually that was last yr.
so I had lunch at my mom’s that day and then we went to the airport my mom aunt i.
so we parted at the airport. my mom i were the ones going to london my aunt to d.c. at the airport we went through security and all that. i don’t like security and a reason is it involves me taking off my hat. after you put your bags and coats on the machine thing you go through the x ray machine and then there’s an attendant at the other end. she asked me to take off my hat she was v. sweet. my mom delayed our travels [well we had time. that’s the reason people go to the airport early or they should anyway] they searched her bag. and that’s all I know. i waited. and then we were on our way.
So we went to the lounge where they have cookies and cheese and stuff. after awhile we got on the plane for the 8 - 10 hr. flight. i was really tired. again i can’t sleep on planes but i did rest. they gave us food on the plane i had tortelinni which i didn’t like and something else before that. and then at some time later we got breakfast. oh so when the plane arrived in London it stopped and we had to wait for the bus. while we waited we talked to these 2 lovely flight attendants. the lady had to give the bus attendant driver some papers. we talked about shows. so then we went down the stairs and into the bus. it was like i was a kennedy. or marilyn. we got to the airport went through customs and immigration and on to the tube.

and from the tube we went to the building the flat was in. the lady’s um niece chloe greeted us only i didn’t find out untill we actually got in the flat that Chloe was her niece. the lady being the manager of the flat. she was nice. she talked a lot more than her aunt who we’d met last yr. so we got our stuff put away and went and got something to eat. We ate at Pizza Express. oh right cause we had an hr. or so before the show. right. so we got tickets at the Leicester Sq. tube station some at half price. when we were sitting we were er well my mom rather my mom was getting directions to.somewhere. well a v. nice lady who looked like my Aunt Susan but prettier helped us. The pizza place was cool it had like signs w/ movie quotes on them. by the steps it had ‘39 steps’ and above the bar it had ‘shaken not stirred’ that kindof thing. it was loud and busy and i liked it it reminded me of new york. it’s the kindof place i’d want to eat at every once in awhle but not like.an every day kindof thing.
So then. we went and saw the show. We saw ‘beautiful’ the new show about Carole King. my mom said it was “super good”. and. well. which is interesting since she’s not a big fan of carole king. well she’s not like anti carole king. it was interesting and cool i liked it too. it was more about the music then the visuals. and ‘everybody’ knew the music. i didn’t realise carole king had written ‘so many’ songs.
After the show we took the tube back to the station. and walked to waitrose the grocery store there. where we got mangos and i think either bread or muffins. oh and milk. oh they have self checkouts now which they didn’t have before. which we didn’t use. although mainly the um cashiers don’t make conversation w/ you. that’s one thing i really like about London is the cashiers won’t. they’re not like opposed to it or anything. whereas here everybody talks to everybody esp. if you’re valerie. um anyway.

i don’t. no i don’t think we did watch tv that night.

so yes. onto Day 2.
