drugs for the pain
pain from the drugs
the deepest of veins
the dankest of nugs
sometimes they help
sometimes you’re covered in bugs
drugs for the pain
pain from the drugs

somedays we are shaking hands
other days our hands are shaking
sometimes we awake at daybreak
or go back to sleep pretending
that our days are not breaking
maybe we have what it takes
maybe we have things worth taking
somedays we are on the make
others we are stuck with the making
but it’s okay
I mean sometimes its okay
the meanings will change
from day to day
