Electoral College picks worser. in A small but passable life.

I was on the interwebs until nearly 3am last night. I’d watch one episode of “Shameless” (I’m at the end of season 3 now!) and then switch over to another tab running RT’s live election coverage for a few minutes and then I’d switch back and watch another episode. I called it quits when it was reported that Hillary had called it quits.

America has elected worser over worse. This morning I checked (11:05am now) and it does look like Hillary has won the popular vote by a couple of hundred thousand votes, but she just gave her concession speech live on Huffpost. And now Obama is speaking on CNN.

Republicans also now have the majority in Congress. Which also means they may be appointing up to three Supremes in the next four years. And when that happens it will be decades before anything positive will progress forward.

Drumpf is not who the people that really run the country want in the White House. A rogue idiot wasn’t in the plans. They wanted a bought puppet.

We’ll see how much damage he’ll do to the present criminal (neo-liberal) enterprise (and the rest of us) before he’s replaced by Pence who will play their game.

So yeah, it’s going to be interesting.

My backpack is ready. My carry on is ready. I’ve got two different hidey-holes to choose from. Meanwhile I’ll sit here and watch what will surely become the highest rated reality show there ever was.

Back in my college days one of the late night debates while we passed the bong and sipped beers was “rockin’ roll vs. disco”. Which would stand the test of time? And as a side argument, how could anything be worse than disco? And of course, now there’s hip hop and rap, so that question was eventually answered. The relevancy here is the asking, how could any president be worse than Ronald Reagan or G. W. Bush? Well, people, we’re fixing to find out. (Notice the downward trend here?)

Anyway, I did walk to the library yesterday and picked up a non-fiction waiting for me. A book written in 1962 but may have even more relevance today. And I did tote that big ass sack of bagels to the Veteran’s Center.
