I’ve gotten behind on my independent film watching. Now I am attempting to do a voice entry.
Moonlight, I heard, was a darling at the film festivals. I completely agree. The cinematography, the mood, the music, and the main characters development all made this movie come to life.
I haven’t listen to my favorite podcast yet. They are featuring this movie, so my words are unadulterated. A young black man is featured through his whole life in three ages. Is a shy introverted young man and we see what he becomes as an adult, based on his living situation in poverty with a mother who is a drug addict. He is also struggling with being gay but the movie doesn’t really focus on that aspect as much although it plays a very important part.
It was beautiful, and heartbreaking, and you always want to see what’s happening next. if you would all get the chance to see it, please do
