halloween. well not yet. halloween pumpkin thing. in yes i'm aware it's 2016.

alrite time for a break. again.

so on........um Thurs. my sister & I went to the halloween pumpkin thing at the gardens. we went last yr. too. it was nice. There were quite a few kids there dressed up. er in costume i mean. and a few adults in costume too. um so we got a trick or treat bag ‘just in case’ in her words. and we got a few pieces of candy. i got 2 reese’s a jolly rancher and a tootsie roll. and she got iforgot what. it was open to anyone who wanted candy. which was nice. People like Reese’s cause when I got them the 2 ladies said ‘good choice’. oh yes. in college and also back at my place i used to eat a lot of Reese’s [well i ate other stuff too] and now i don’t. So in the greenhouse place there were pumpkins like carved pumpkins on display for the auction. and they had the artists who carved them. you know so it’s not just like the pumpkins were finished ad carved and were sitting there waiting to be auctioned off. no you got to see them in action.being carved. as the artists were carving them. [ok well that isn’t making much sense].
So um inside another bldg they had coloring pages and masks people could draw on and wands they could make. We decided to make a wand. well ok my sister made the want but I helped. ok so I held the tape. And taped the ribon to the stick part of the wand. she put the star on top of it.
oh so there were 2 cosutme contests we only stayed for the kids one. they had an adult one as well. They had a baby elephant [like as in a baby that was dressed as an elephant] that was pretty cute. and Inspector Gadget. and a hot dog. The kids had numbers but some of them either forgot or didn’t know what the numbers were. but that’s ok. and oh they had Captain America and i think Spider Man. and a ghost of course and i think a couple princesses. We didn’t stay to see who won.
so yeah.

ok so then on Fri. we [my parents sister i that we] all went to Perkins. for lunch. that was nice too the waffle I got filled me up for 4 hrs. that breakfast food i’m tellin ya. And then we went to a church which they had pumpkins in front of and except for my mom we each picked ours. I got a smaller one cause i couldn’t life the heavier one i’d tried to life. er lift i mean. either before or after we paid the pumpkin vendor lady took a picture of us. I look awkward and weird it’s how i always look but i think also happy.

so then. We went back to my mom’s where we um gutted the pumpkins. i was somewhat worried about pulling my sleeves up cause.well it’s not that i cut anymore it’s just that that feels weird. but then i’m thinking ‘cmon. you don’t cut ad it’s been 3 yrs.’ I took the er ‘innards’ out of the pumpkin best I could.it felt weird. and seperated the free seeds from the ones stuck to the innards. My mom roasts pumpkin seeds. it seems like a lot of people do. i don’t like seeds cause they’re too chewy.

After the ‘gutting’ took place we each drew on our pumpkins. I drew a lily but couldn’t make the petals or the leaves even. i’d considered fixing that but then there’d be more lines on the thing so. and my dad said the simpler the better. oh he’s the pumkin carver. he majored in art in college so he does art.stuff like that. [actually my parents went when they were in college. at a halloween party. my mom was a bunny the animal and Dad was just Dad]. My sister drew a tombstone and my dad drew the traditional jack. o’lantern. i’m the person who always does something different. yeah last yr. I drew what turned out to be a halloween chicken. it was meant to be just a generic bird. and my sister drew a skull/lightbulb i forgot what my did did.

so after that my sister went back to her place. oh so my mom was on the phone w/ a daughter of a client of hers [my mom’s a cpa. it means she does people’s taxes] and at 2:05 i realised it was time to take the seeds out of the oven.so i was only 5 mins. late on that.

oh so the seeds got out of the oven.

my mom’s fun. so later that night we’re sitting in the living room watching tv and she looks at my pumpkin and goes ‘what’s that creature?’ and i’m ‘a lily’ and she’s ‘that’s me!’. [her name’s susan it means ‘lily’ ].

oh pumpkins. i like them being around them they’re pleasing. to me. they make me happy.
