Loving It in Everyday Ramblings

It is gorgeous here right now. I took this shot just after dawn so it was still a bit cloudy. My inner pony could not wait to get out on the beach.

Looking ahead we had a pretty good idea that it wouldn’t rain today but we didn’t expect it to be beautiful enough to walk midday in just a fleece jacket and no hat or gloves. Yesterday we got caught in a windy squall just after walking outside and our pants got soaked.

In 1994 and 1947 we had more rain in October than we have had this year but we still have three more days to nuzzle (in a drippy sort of way) up against the record.

Kes and me came out here to the Oregon Coast yesterday afternoon. Most Honorable is joining us later today after a work meeting.

I slept 10 hours straight last night. It is so good to be here, hard to be away from Carlo and Diego, but good.

Okay I do admit that it was wonderful to eat some tuna fish unmolested by feline intervention yesterday afternoon. Much as I love the cats (they are never going to grow up I don’t think) it is nice to have a break from rowdy wild man land.

We had a big acorn squash for lunch today. It is funny how you learn these skills, (how long to microwave it so you can cut it in half) seasonally, and then forget them.

The stuff at the church about my yoga class is all very confusing. There does seem to be some political stuff where one of the ministers is trying to get “his” yoga teacher in teaching a “medically based” yoga program.

Heck, my class on Monday was built completely on physical therapy recommendations but sequenced in such a way to be beneficial for energy management using the breath and compensating movements of the spine… I don’t think one can get more “medical” than that.

It was sort of the last place I expected competition coming in from left field. We do have another teacher that does weekend workshops and an occasional morning class in eight-week bursts.

But I am a pledging congregant and you would think that matters…

Anyway, I’ll need to address this when I get back.

My dental team has been asking that I use this peroxide based mouthwash twice a day for the last three months and over time it stains your teeth this yucky brown color like I were both a smoker and drink coffee.

On Tuesday I had my teeth cleaned and I don’t need to start again until next Tuesday when the work starts back up again.

I am enjoying the heck out of the break from all of this, the rain, work, politics (on every level), dental work and…

You get the idea. :)
