6:57 am -

Tami - "Good morning, Mom and Chanelle. Why does it always smell so musty in here?"

Joleen - "I keep telling you to buy candles."

Tami - "I guess. I have rooms to check."

6:58 am

Sassy - "Guess I'll just wait till she gets back to do change over."

7:12 am

Tami - "Why are you still here?"

Sassy - "Because we haven't done change over yet."

Tami - "I could have figured it out by looking over the paperwork. Or you could have just told Mom."

Sassy - "Ok, I'll remember that in the future. However (deep sigh), there is a problem you need to be made aware of and since I don't understand it, I was fairly certain Joleen wouldn't understand it so that is why I waited for you."

Tami - "Well if you don't understand it, what makes you think I would? You know more about this stuff than I do."

Sassy - "Anyway, here is what is going on ... ... ... ... so you will have to get Bill to fix this because I have no clue. Bill or Rachel always handled this stuff in the past so that is why I haven't been trained on it."

Tami - "Why didn't you call the Sister Hotel when you checked them in if you didn't know how to do it?"

Sassy - (sigh) "Because Shelia checked them in and "supposedly" she did call them and supposedly they helped her do it. But obviously, it didn't work. Obviously someone told her to do something wrong or she misunderstood them or whatever. Whatever it was, it didn't work, now we have this problem and I'm doing my job in bringing it to your attention so that it can be fixed."

Tami - "Well why didn't you just do what we normally do when there is a rate change that gets posted wrong?"

Sassy - "Well, I thought about that. But, since nothing is working the way it * should * be working, the way we do rate adjustments, I didn't want to run the risk of making things worse and I figured it would be in MY best interest to just wait and bring it to your attention. Bill will be able to fix this and explain to you how to keep it from happening in the future and how to fix it if it goes wrong again."

Tami - "Ok. Well, thank you. Go home. Go to bed. We'll see you next week."

Sassy - "Actually I'll be back this afternoon to pick up my paycheck but incase I don't make it back before you leave a 3, I'll see you Monday morning."

That conversation was on Wednesday morning.

Saturday morning Joleen did her damnedest to get me to leave before 7 am which, I kept saying, "No, I'm good. I can finish up the last few minutes." Tami didn't look to happy to have to deal with me when she came in at 6:58 am.

Sunday morning Tami was off.

Monday morning, she came rolling in at 6:55 am - with her son - and proceeded to blatantly ignore me. Even when I was doing my change over with her. Which, okay, I didn't have to go stand in her "personal bubble" to do it. I didn't have to drag it out the way I did. I didn't have to force her to engage in conversation with me about the change over. But I did. And I enjoyed it. Bad Sassy! Bad!

Tuesday morning, she was "running late" and hadn't made it there by 7am when I left.

I'm not stupid. I know she wants me gone. Until I get another job, it isn't happening unless she fires me. She has nothing, nothing to warrant her firing me for and therefore I would be entitled to unemployment and Bill would go through the roof if that happened! I've heard him say with my own ears that no one is to be fired without proof of cause for firing because he won't pay unemployment. So, I will continue to be the model employee, complete with a little "in your face!", until a better job comes along.

In other news ... I am so in love with this picture I took Tuesday evening after we had about 2 minutes of snow. I didn't have time to run in and grab my big camera and get it together before I lost "the moment" so I just used my iPhone. But still! What a picture. The Child had me send it to her & made it her wallpaper for her iPod.

I know this sounds lame, but I feel so at peace looking at this picture. Talk about God's Beauty! I'll leave you to stare at it also lol. If you copy/save it DO NOT REMOVE MY WATERMARK/LOGO!
