Greatest show on Earth! in A small but passable life.

A shitshow that is. The thing I’m amazed about is that no one seems to realize that there are no “best” friends of neither him nor her coming to the defense of character. There are spouses and children and paid lackeys but no true friends speaking up. Where are the personal references?

I’ve read the Wikipedia entry for Mike Pence. What an ignorant, stupid fucking asshole! Drumpf is just insane, but Pence is dangerous.

Hillary? She’s just power hungry. That’s why she originally chose Bill and has stuck by him, to ride his coattails. She’s just a player. She always has been.

One good thing is that the republicans, after eight years of doing nothing and blocking everything, because of, you know, the president being black and all, are finally getting what they’ve always wanted, a racist saying out loud what they’ve always said tongue in cheek. Let’s just call this election the end of “old rich white men ruling”.

Enough said about the current state of politics.

Sitting outside on the porch this morning it felt like Fall for the first time, with the temperature around forty-five. Sitting inside here now it is sixty degrees. I had to put on socks, fleece pants, and my heavier shirt.

I’ve decided to put off the thirty day wilderness trip. I wasn’t really in the mood for it. I’ve got thirty pounds of food in two big cat litter buckets waiting for whenever I do decide to go. Maybe March. March was a good month to go.

I’ve been spending a lot of time practicing tying knots. Better than playing solitaire. You know, useful knowledge.
