That plan, again. in A small but passable life.

Liam Dog and I were up earlier than usual yesterday, before 9am. I put on a pot of coffee and got dressed in street clothes, getting ready to actually go somewhere. After one cup of coffee we took off for the credit union and library. We walked through the big park. At the credit union I got the new debit card activated. And I was told there was a ‘secret’ phone number to use if one were phone numberless. Why I wasn’t told this when I had the last debit card activated I have no idea. Maybe it’s a new thing? At the library I returned the latest book and had three more books added to my ‘hold’ list, for a total of five. All three additions were in the local system with no waiting list so they should arrive fairly quickly. Liam Dog gets pretty excited and keyed up during walks which usually ends up facilitating a couple of normal turds followed by a final runny purge. And this time the final squirt, because he’s a weirdo, ended up being right downtown on the base of a fancy light pole. Good job Liam! Not as good as the time he squirted on the “Deposit Dog Waste Here!” pole over at the apartment. That one was pretty uncivilized.

Last night I watched S02E09 of Mr. Robot and S03E01 of You’re The Worst. Both shows are really stepping up their game. Most enjoyable.

So yeah, today I haven’t done anything other than dink around on the laptop.

I’m thinking the first weekend in October until at least after the election for a thirty day sojourn in the woods. The Historical Monthly Average for October temperatures is 69 for the high and 47 for the low with 3.59 inches of rain. Almost as perfect as March with the main difference being that overall it will be getting cooler as the days go by rather than warmer. No big deal. I’ve also decided that I’ll just base camp for the thirty days with day hikes in the wilderness area instead of the Ozark Trail hike. I’d like to do the Ozark Trail in March mainly because the views will be more enjoyable with no leaves on the trees. Yeah, the Fall colors on the trail would be awesome but I’d rather have the long distance views. I think I can get thirty days worth of grub into my backpack and one 35lb. cat litter bucket. How I will carry the bucket the two hours into the wilderness I have no idea. Maybe a granny cart? I dunno.

So, there’s talking about that plan, again.
