Summer Activities in In the Meadow

One of my brothers has been visiting for the last two weeks. He has high functioning autism. It is kind of a difficult time because my mom passed away two months ago. I thought it would be best if we kept busy during this time, and we have been doing lots of activities. We have gone swimming and to the park. We have also been to the art and science museums. We have been watching some of the Olympics. Kayla has been watching the soccer and gymnastics. She has recently become interested in diving, and we have been watching some of that. She has been taking diving lessons for the last couple of summers. She has signed up for the ninth grade diving team at school. They just have meets with other ninth graders, so she can try the sport without it being too intense.

I think the kids are having a good vacation. School starts right after Labor Day. We have been shopping a little bit at a time for school supplies and back-to-school clothes.
