Find your other-ness and hang onto it for dear life.
That sense of feeling somehow abnormal, it can keep you humane.
That sense of feeling halfway there to madness, it can keep you sane.
Listen to your inner weirdo, don’t give into the fear though.
Knowing everyone is different some way can keep you out of the bigot zone.
Knowing we’re all castaways on some days can keep you from feeling alone.
No matter who you are, you are a freak in some other person’s eyes.
No matter who that person is, they’re some kind of freak under disguise.
Make peace with yourself and do your best to hang onto this feeling.
Make peace with yourself and you’ll find that hate’s much less appealing.
