I am not a chase
I am not your conquest
I don’t need to impress
Being me is what I know best

I’m not putting you on a test
by playing hard to get, making you second guess
I shouldn’t be obligated to put your mind to rest
Never expect me to be flawless

Sit down
Treat me like an equal human
Don’t just talk; listen
You’re not always right, like I’m not always wrong

Stop acting like you’re always on a hunt,
so we can start having a more decent conversation
despite being different
