I was at Starbucks before work getting coffee, it was pretty packed and while I was waiting, I noticed my friend Justin and his boyfriend AJ were in line. Justin is tall and leonine, while AJ is a little emo youth bubble. Justin was rubbing AJ’s shoulders and I noticed the guy behind them make a sour face, like he’d just vomited in his mouth. Then he turned to his little girl and whispered something into her ear while pointing at the two boys. I immediately when into defense mode and stared him down. When he got done with ordering, before Justin and AJ, he came over near me and said, “Well, you’ve been waiting an awfully long time.” I had my drink and he must’ve noticed I was glaring at him the whole time. I just replied, “I’m watching your homophobic ass to make sure you don’t start any shit with my friends over there.” He looked supremely embarrassed and I walked out with the two boys being none the wiser.
I slept with Lio a few nights ago. I wasn’t really expecting us to have sex, he just went for it. I even woke up at one point to him riding me. Supposedly it was his first time in four years so I can understand his go get it attitude. It hasn’t been awkward, in fact, it’s been pretty uncomplicated.
I went out last night to see Loco as he bartended. He asked me to show up and he’s been texting me all day. I have to say, I’m pretty surprised because he and I weren’t always the closest of friends, in fact, he was the friend that I once attacked and slammed into a wall because he was always making fag jokes. That was almost a year ago and somehow we’re buddies now. In fact, he’s really the only one of my old group that I still talk to.
Everybody is counseling me on my “next steps” but the consensus seems to be a rather interesting one. I’m quite surprised by it. When I get it all settled, I’m sure I’ll fill you in, but right now I’m still figuring out what this future is going to look like. One thing is for sure, I can’t stay here.
