Finally fixing in Stuff

I’m just waiting around the house for the electrician to show up, again. He was last here what feels like forever ago when he removed that dodgy light fixture. Anyway, my landlord was facebook messaging me last night about what was happening, but he’s been getting his room’s confused and thought my fan had a light in it, which it didn’t, so after sending him photos of what was happening, he had to email the electricity people AGAIN to change what he wanted done and blah blah blah.
At least the right thing should be done now.

So the electricity people rang me this morning asking if I’d be home today and told me what Andrew had told them, but they’d emailed him back, but since it was midnight in the U.K., Andrew would be asleep and unable to get back to them about however much the second quote is. So I asked them if it was much different to the first one, and the lady said they didn’t have one (???) when I’m sure it said it was around $380 for the parts and one-hour labour. So they will be here to fix it, but I have no idea how much they will be charging for it.
I figure it can’t really be that different. I’m just confused as to why I haven’t heard from them in like over a month, but suddenly they have the right parts and products to replace the dodgy fan and light fitting in my room?
Guess I’ll find out soon.

I forgot to write that I got a surprise gift at work on Sunday. My manager came up to me and handed me a card and said, ‘This is for you,” and said that he doesn’t thank me enough for the work that I do. It took me by surprise. It was a $20 Wish gift card, which means basically I can spend it at any of the Woolies group stores. So that was nice. He said he knew that Amy always thanked me for my hard work (which she does) but he wanted to get me something.
Wow! Never expected that. So that was nice.

Now I have to hang around awkwardly in the lounge whilst the electrician plays around with the roof in my room, so I’ve set myself up in the lounge with my laptap. I’m just hoping it still doesn’t smell too much like sex in there lol.
