memorial thingy 3. so after the service. in yes i'm aware it's 2016.

right so after the service. um the cousins, my sister, parents & I stayed. Margaret, Sarah and & talked to my Aunt Lynne then Kate joined us. at some point either before or after the service John Eady and my sister talked. I talked to Sarah a bit.
Then we cleaned up. Don, Sarah and someone else put the tables back to where they were. um. and...... we put the platters and big plastic coffee container thing. on a table. Someone took the display boards i don’t know who. oh yeah i forgot to mention that we had Post Its that people could write memories on.i didn’t.
So after that my dad, Kate & I took the coffee.thing [it’s like those big round glass containers people have for lemonade or w/e. or spa water. but it was brown and rectangular and plastic. i guess ‘container’ is the right word] um we took it back to Peet’s.which was where we’d gotten it from. i just wanted an excuse to go in there cause it smells so good. and then we went up to the cabin or maybe that was after we’d gone to the cabin.
So anyway we went to the cabin which is apparently like 20 mins. from Littleton. um. so for a few mins. the cousins aunts, uncles [well my dad’s an uncle. to my cousins. it’s just weird to think of him that way cause. to me he’s my dad] um sat around and talked in the living room. oh so while that was happening a yellow lab came to the door. the girl cousins i went over to it. it came into the living room for a minute and then went right back outside to its owner.
so right then we did the ashes.thing the ceremony. we. went out onto the balcony that’s in front of the living room [actually there’s only 1 balcony]. We had a gold platter on which were the ashes and a spoon. and we took the spoon and spread the ashes. like we were on the balcony and w/ the spoon the ashes went down and away from it. i can’t think of a better way to explain this right now. Some people said something some didn’t. i didn’t.
And then Ty, Peter & Lynne left to go to Breckenridge. i guess Lynne’s staying there the rest of the month from what i heard from........um helen. er i mean from july 30th to the end of this month. So the cousins & I went back to my mom’s. where we had dinner. while i was waiting i had some cherries. which we didn’t put out. For dinner we got stuff from bros. bbq. beans like 4 - 6 kinds, chicken. We had um some fruit left over from that morning. um Ty and Peter came around 6. and at some point they went back to the hotel they were staying in. Ty went back to CA on that Sun. cause the service was a sat. so that would’ve been the following day.
