this, really has nothing to do w/ anything.
copied from my fb:
‘so like. this morning or whenever i couldn’t sleep. so i turned over and looked at this painting that’s in my rm. at my parents. like it’s leaning against the..........uh walldow. hey wal-do! [wall + window]. um. and i don’t know who it’s by or where we got it or anything but maybe that’s the most imperitive thing. i’ve always liked it. and i was thinking about the reason i liked it. well when i look at it it puts me in a good place. and also.and this may be a bit too obvious. nothing changes in the painting. and then.i got to thinking about the way things have changed in the room the furniture they’ve had and now don’t [of course via my mom. but anyway]. yes. the painting. and i vividly remembered that when they had that. more vividly than i have in.......i couldn’t even tell ‘you’ when it’s been that long. ‘
actually that was from yesterday.
The painting. is of a ...........colliseum [sp?] in which there are people. and I think 2 big statues of green lionesses. The ceiling there’s an opening in it. If anyone has any links to what the painting might be please post them in your comments. i don’t know so your guess is as good as mine.
yeah so when I was about 13 I started spending time in there the room the painting’s in. and at the time we had this scratchy plaid brown couch in there.........and I had those plastic drawer things across from where the couch was. i don’t remember sleeping on the couch but i think maybe i must’ve. and then. So there was the painting that’s now in front of the window thing. to the left of that is a closet. and to the left of the closet is the wall. and along that wall was the couch. my feet were towardsthe closet when i slept i think. and then..........at the head was one computer and by the other window was the other one both desktops. and then to the left of the 2nd computer is an exterior door. [see my grandfather the one who’s 96 was born in 1920. so growing up he had er they had boarders. or as my mom calls them ‘roomers’. which i’d never heard before boarders being referred to as ‘roomers’. and every house he’s built has exterior doors for the boarders. yeah that was a thing in the ‘30’s. i’m not sure when he moved from iowa to CO i forget so i don’t know if..........they had them iowa or CO].
i remember. I used to eat these mini muffins in that room. i’d go on the computer a lot. At some point we brought a bed in there and the couch went.somewhere. oh and there was a chalkboard in there at one point. and then that bed, the computers and the plastic things went away. And now the bed that’s in there is my great grandmother’s bed mom’s side. My sister has a small wardrobe [as in armoire. well when i’m talking about clothes i’ll refer to them as such] in there um some of the furniture from my place and 3 dressers. at one point we had a short display cabinet type thing and a low bookshelf. we also had 2 tall white bookshelves which are now.upstairs. oh and then we had these drawers we had 4 big drawers that fit in like.drawer holder things.
anyway my point to all this is.the painting is one of the things that hasn’t changed. before i go on describing the room any further. unless...........people want to know more about that part.
