If the Rapture means
every judgemental hateful jerk ruining everything
leaves the planet?
It sounds win-win for both sides.
By all means, Rapture yourselves.
Rapture yourselves all you want.
You Rapture yourself to imaginary heaven and
we’ll have a much easier time
making the Earth must more like a heaven.

When they judge you,
when the Rapture people judge you
they’re really saying
“I’m afraid I’m wrong about myself
so I want to make you
make all the mistakes I do
to prove that I’m right”
forcing their repression onto others
is what gets them through the night.

But being human isn’t about
being pure or untainted.
You do what you can
when it’s possible
you extend helping hands
being human us about
being aware of your compromises and
struggling with them every single day.

Some of the lies
of which their apocalyptic visions are comprises
some of them are nearly benign
some are as dark as the night
but all of them profit by
convincing you you’re under siege
so you have discard that feeling
feeling like the end is near
I understand why it’s so appealing
it takes the responsibility of trying
of working hard and sometimes compromising
disaster prepping plans
take the responsibility to share and play nice
out of your hands
just hoard enough food to hold out
until we find out which god wins the title bout.

They don’t wanna open their minds
or even give thought to compromise
so this Rapture thing
it’s win-win for both sides
so by all means,
leave our God-damn planet
you manic Duck Dynastics
we could fix things a lot faster
that would be fucking fantastic.
