Drawer number three defeated me.
Besides manuals for farm equipment that has not been on the farm in 35 years, there was son John’s (good) report cards, a compass (the pointy kind with a hand sharpened pencil in its grip), a protractor (how we measured angles when we guessed - though come to think about it, most angle measurement is guessing), a collection of key rings, a collection of tape measures, and I can’t remember what else. Oh and road maps, Minnesota, Nebraska and Texas. The only things I threw away were another old telephone book and a telephone jack cord from the days of dial-up.
I can’t seem to reach the nirvana of de-cluttering. It never makes me feel good. I must not be doing it right.
I did bring in the clothes and I cooked some brat patties - they had cranberries in them, they were special - for sandwiches. I had a nap. I brought in the clothes from the clothesline and folded the towels and put the rest away.
I took the photo of the rose above. It’s a better picture than a rose, but so what.
The walnut trees are starting to have walnuts
The light was perfect when I got home. The trees against the clouds and the sky was perfect. But instead of taking pictures I took a nap. So the pictures are from later when the lights was lower and of different intensity.
Here’s less intense monarda. Looks a little mildewed.
