At a loss the other night I looked through the BBC’s i-player and found ‘Great Guitar Riffs at the BBC’ the hour program began with the Shadows playing BFI, this would be late 50’s. For my it seemed dated back then, then the Kinks with ‘You got me really going’ the 60’s was getting going then, the next was pure 60’s with the Rolling Stones ‘The last time’

Next it was a group I liked while I was at school, the Yardbirds with ‘over-under-sidewaya-under’ they had Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, they know how to pick lead Guitar players! Then I know the next group band from the intro, Cream’s ‘Sunshine of your Love’ A friend told me about this new super-group Cream with the three of rocks best, Eric Clapton in lead, Jack Bruce on Bass and Ginger Backer the drummer’s drummer!

Then there was The Jimi Hendrix Experience playing ‘Voodoo Child’ Jimi was great yet for me Cream were the 60’s band for me, Jimi Hendrix was great but Cream had three ace musical giants, there were other bands but for me it was all down after Cream.
