(This starts out kind of depressing but gets happier toward the end. I wrote it over a couple of days.)

I just found myself at inspirational quotes superimposed on photos at Pinterest. I don’t belong to Pinterest but Facebook lets you look in. Some were about planning your life. Many were about doing things before it was too late. The classic you won’t regret doing things, you’ll regret not doing them. Well, maybe that’s true. I don’t really know. I’ve always been more of a now person and I have a feeling that is how I will remain. Whatever happens happens. I’ll go along for the ride.

I had a period of life that I fully documented here when I would set goals for the month and ..........................

So I’m typing away. Making a certain amount of sense. Not a lot. But the normal amount. I’m about five paragraphs farther down the page and I lose it. I know a trick to get back lost text. Control and Z. It has saved me quite a few times but you have to do it immediately after you’ve lost the text. If you even hit one key after the text is lost, it will not bring back the lost stuff. That’s what I must have done this time because there didn’t seem to be a way to get back whatever it was I had already typed.

And now Friday’s over too. It’s a little after midnight. I have been enjoying the freedom of staying up late and sleeping late. I own my life.

I was encouraged today to make a movie.

It’s Jim cutting oats in the field in front of the house. He will let the oats dry for a day or two and then bale it for feed for the cattle next winter. Oats is nutritious - think of your morning oatmeal.

Oats is a nurse crop for alfalfa. The big seeded, fast growing oats protect the small seeded, smaller alfalfa seedlings. I think you can see the more delicate round leaved alfalfas in the picture below.

I should tell you some oats stories. But I’m not in the mood. Maybe another time. Maybe not.

Have a good weekend everyone.
