Settled routine? in A small but passable life.

I’m still reading the summary of philosophy book. It’s amazing to realize that most thinkers had the whole thing figured out long before the big three Abrahamic religions were fabricated basically out of thin air and proceeded to enslave the majority of the worlds people with greed, evilness, and bullshit.

The election has now devolved to “I know you are but what am I?” Why is this allowed to go on? Are the people that apathetic? If either one of them ends up with the ability to launch nuclear weapons this great experiment called “modern civilization” will come to a very abrupt end.

So, in the meantime I’ll just sit here.

It’s been nearly two months since my return from the desert. My daily routine is fairly established. I’m always in bed with the lights out by midnight. I’m usually out of bed by 10am. Usually. Mostly. I sit and read and drink my three cups of coffee. I wash the dishes. I fire up the lappy and dink until supper. After supper I dink until bedtime. Fin.

I still haven’t figured out why the damn cursor jumps around when I type anywhere. It’s really annoying. Especially when I have to actually look at my fingers while I type. I type and then I look up and the thing is typing way up there in the middle of the last paragraph. Why? I’ll blame it on Bill Gates. Why not?

I’ve managed to lose about eight pounds of body weight since my return from the desert. I think it may be the elimination of the bowl of sugary cereal every morning. And possibly the elimination of the bologna sandwich or hot dogs and chips for lunch. I just don’t eat lunch.

Three cups of coffee in the late morning and supper later on. Good enough. It’s not like sitting here is burning up massive amounts of energy.

Daughter has decided to not replace the mower handle. She wants to buy a reel mower. She found one on Amazon with good reviews for $100. I’ve managed to live 7 and 50 without ever owning a mower, so good on her. It’ll be good exercise for whomever ends up pushing the thing.

And speaking of mowing, I may just do that today. It’s a hassle with the vise-grips holding the handle on always popping off, but I made it work once I’m sure I can do it again.

Okay. 1:55pm. Third and last cup of coffee done. Dishes done. Hmmm…better poop…and then get busy!
