Such is life. in A small but passable life.

I decided to try something different today. Yesterday I didn’t roll out of bed until noon. So pathetic. There was no need for that twelve hours of sack time. I wasn’t finished with my ‘morning’ coffee until 2pm.
This morning I woke up at 7am. Faced with the decision of getting up to urinate and then going back to bed or just getting up and staying up, I chose the latter. And it sure made for a confused Liam Dog.
There’s been more rain. We’re now up to 1.72 inches for the last seven days. It is really humid. And the temperature is supposed to hover in the nineties for at least another ten days with more thunderstorms predicted.
I’ve went off on a tangent. After watching that first episode of “Felicity” I’m now up to episode nine. Egads, such an entertaining show. Of all the shows I could’ve re-watched why that one? Anyway, it’s only four seasons long.
There is one weather window left this year for a wilderness sojourn, starting thirty days before the start of rifle deer season. That means there are three months left to prepare. And by prepare I mean plan and store meals and choose what I want to do. I’ll either hike or I’ll sit and contemplate. If I want to hike I’ll need to do some route planning. If I want to sit I’ll need to pick a place.
Latest statistics I’ve found show that in 2014 there were 1.6 million sailboats registered in the US.
I really can’t believe the prices. Here’s just one example:

Brand new thirty foot travel trailers are more costly than that!
And speaking of RV’s.
RV ownership looks to be about 12 million, with the under age 35 the fastest growing segment for the last four years. Interesting.
I guess it all depends on where you want to go. A Walmart parking lot or crowded campground or a deserted South Pacific island?
Anyway, I’ll probably sit here trying to think of something productive to do. And I’ll probably fail.
Such is life.
