I’ve been home a couple of days from my wetland trip. It was as fun as always. I love it down there. I wouldn’t want to live there, because I missed my hills, but it’s a little piece of magic. :) I thought I’d share a few pictures. Because we’re on a barrier island, it gets amazing sun rise and sunset pictures. I love those. I take tons of those. Here’s a few:

There’s a beautiful maritime forest on the island. That always blows me away. Surrounded by beach and palm trees, then you walk into a forest with oaks that are hundreds of years old. They’re different than the ones up here. Shorter, but just as thick. A fairy sort of place. It has a few homes in it that are over 150 years old, that have survived many hurricanes. Here’s a few pictures from in there:

And once I was home and had unpacked, my suitcase was sitting, waiting for me to put it away. Luna found her way inside:

She stayed in there forever. Stella tried to figure out how to get in there with her, which resulted in her chewing on the sides. lol
And for those of you who read that babbling entry that I made private. Things are ok. Luna greeted me at the window when I got home. She flung herself against the window and rubbed all over it to get to me. She spent the entire evening in my lap, rubbing and purring. She’s still crazy as a loon, but she’s mine, for better or worse.
