Brexit in Political shit

I’m quite surprised by the ‘Brexit’ referendum results. So many people seem to be pretty upset about it. I don’t think it’s the end of the world though. Who knows. It’s been cool following the live results along whilst at work today. England and Wales wanted out. Scotland and Northern Ireland wanted in. But London’s population seemed to give GB the edge for the ‘Out’ vote.
David Cameron has already announced his retirement and global markets seem to have plunged, so yeah, this is pretty damn interesting.
I don’t know much about the politics of it all, but I feel like the UK can survive outside of the union.

In news here, today our PM announced that the upcoming same-sex marriage plebiscite is non-binding and that his MP’s will have a free vote following it.
You know, because throwing away $500M for the sake of sweet fuck all is totally something Australia can afford to do when it’s $40B in national debt, all whilst giving fuckheads like the ACL and Family First a platform to demean the LGBTI community.
Christ I hope this is enough to get him out of government. It’s a shame really because our PM actually says he supports it, but we have a horrible homophobic national party ruining the fun for everyone.

Ergh. Politics. Let people like me live how we God-damn want to. Quite happy to get married in NZ, guys. Not a big deal. Just disappointing, that’s all.
