"It's HOW much!?" in Stuff

Well I knew this was coming lol. I re-sticky-taped up my box that arrived with the charger in it and attached a new label with the return address and took it down to the post office to send off.
I took a bunch of photos of the front of it and upon paying for it, took photos of the receipt also, making sure I had a clear one, and then rotated the photo so that it was upright. I wanna get this right!

Anyway, it cost me $51.72 to return the item with tracking. FUCK ME. I could get two entries to the gay sex clubs here (not that I go to them!) for that price, so basically I paid double the price of share-prostitution to send a damn item back overseas!

I had to fill out another declaration form, which was all fine and dandy. Basically to tell them I am not a dangerous criminal and what the package contains.

Anyway, it’s all sent off. I did consider just holding onto it and opening up the device somehow and getting the connections to connect that way, but figured once I did that and it still didn’t work, then I’d be totally screwed.

As soon as I got home, I filled out the paypal return postage claim form and attached the photos I took of it. I read the terms and conditions and I appear to meet them all, so now I just have to wait back and see what they say. If they say a big fat ‘No’, then I will be out of pocket the $52 and will have learnt a great life lesson LOL.

The seller said he will refund me what I paid once the tracking states that it’s been delivered. I already had an email from Australia Post saying the package was on it’s way before I even got home, but that’s easy enough to do. I know it’s still sitting there. I hope they don’t damage it even more before it makes it’s way all the way back to the other side of the planet.

In the end, hopefully if it all works out ( I get my refund and my postage refund), I’ll be out of pocket the $6.72 after this experience, as Paypal only refund a maximum of $45 and I paid $51.72. And that’s just for a small standard item to the UK (which is ‘zone 6’ according to my receipt). And Australia Post say they needed to increase the price of postage stamps from 60c to $1 to ‘cover costs’ LOL. Yeah fucking right.

Now I sit and wait.
