Ergh, that was a baaaad work-week. Staff kept calling in sick from nightfill and it was just a flow-on effect all week. Lots of fun playing catch-up.
It’s nice to have the gay store manager back this week though. I’m not sure if he is relief or permanent but he seems pretty cool.
He asked me on Saturday if I could come in earlier on Sunday (because of said-screw-ness) and I was like, “No way! I’m watching Eurovision before work!” He just laughed and goes, “That’s so gay!” LOL - yup. Can’t go past the camp-ness of Eurovision.

And it was amazing. One of the best yet I feel. Sweden always do such a good job of hosting it. I had at least six favourites this year. Normally I struggle to find one. So it was exciting watching it live from Sweden, and I cast my votes, like I did last year. This year I voted for Austria, Lithuania and Great Britain. I also loved Russia, Belgium and Australia’s entries. It was so exciting watching the votes unfold and even more so when Australia was so far ahead at the start! Even by a massive 200 points. But they’ve changed the way the voting works, so now the ‘jury’ votes as well as the ‘people’, and the two are tallied together for the final result. The jury voted Australia as their favourite, but the people voted Russia as theirs. However, combine the two, and Ukraine overtook Australia to win the 2016 contest, in the last minute. It was so devastating!
I thought it was so weird that they went to each representative for the Jury’s vote rather than the people’s vote, but I guess they have to end the show on the people’s vote. If this new system wasn’t in place, Australia would have come 4th rather than 2nd, and Russia would have won it, but it doesn’t work like that anymore. Will be interesting if this new system stays.

I then went to work, tired as fuck haha. I knew we’d be screwed. My manager wasn’t on also because they needed to save on wages apparently. I don’t know how that works when other people were called in to work anyway. At least I had a really good shift on Friday on my shorter day. I managed to get everything done that day. It’s just the other three days that were fucked haha.

I did go back to gym this week! I’m still not feeling the best, but I’m a lot better and my energy seems to be gradually returning. I wasn’t feeling too good today though, but I think that’s a combination of being so tired. It ended up being a big day because of Eurovision, and that was only watching TV, but I think because I’m such a big Eurovision-fanatic, I excitedly wore myself out :P
My gym routine’s were very basic. I did 10 minute rows each day and just a tiny bit of machine weights. Today I only did a row and then went home. I was waaay too tired. I just wanted to write something down before I hit the sheets, even though it’s only 6:30pm. I’m such a nanna!
